The Third Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP3) was held in Kyoto in December 1997 for the adoption of the Kyoto Protocol, which set legally binding targets on the reduction of emissions for six greenhouse gases, including sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas. With high insulation performance, it is used in many electric devices. Now a measure for preventing the gas from being released into the atmosphere is required in inspections or withdrawals of equipment using SF6 gas.
We offer the service for recovering unwanted SF6 gas at the time of removing gas insulated equipment to aid business operators in cutting SF6 gas emissions to the atmosphere.
We carry out removal or maintenance work according to customer's request.
We select the recovery tool according to the amount of gas to be recovered.
The recovered gas is transported to a gas manufacturer that recycles it. A certificate of treatment is issued for the treated gas.
Removal ofgas insulated equipment | Maintenance ofgas insulated equipment |
---|---|
Recovering 99 percent or more (0.005 MPa・abs or less) * | Recovering 97 percent or more (0.015 MPa・abs or less) * |
We recover and treat gas from SF6 gas insulated equipment and other equipment.
A1. We destroy the gas if its purity is low, at 85 percent or less.
